I've been run down recently, for personal reasons, and also because of the torrent of hate speech, bigoted diatribes, and general ugliness that I've been posting about. After inflicting Vox Popoli's vomit-inducing excuse for actual thought, I need a change of pace.
So I'm turning to you, my readers: give me some good news. Tell me something that won't inspire disgust, dispair, or depression. Anything will do.
The sky is an ethereal, crystaline blue, the trees are a vivacious green, and no one can prevent us from looking and marveling at them. So much better than the blogosphere. ;-)
Here are some things you could think about, loosely based on the things I try to remind myself of when I get into moods:
1. You’re alive.
2. You’re loved.
3. You have the Seamus.
4. You’re free.
5. The Earth is surrounded by giant fizzy bubbles. ;)
6. You live in a world where Jon Stewart and KO exist and we could watch them on TV if we had cable.
7. You’re an extremely talented writer.
8. To steal from Bill Bryson, “Tie A Yellow Ribbon ‘Round the Old Oak Tree” will never again be a hit. Neither will–God willing–”My Heart Will Go On.”
9. We live in a world so technologically advanced that we can watch giant pandas on a web cam.
10. Zombie movies.

-Hinkle Family Fun Center is just down the road (hint, hint).
Besides all that, Micah and I will be visiting you for a WHOLE week in August!! How can you NOT be happy about that?!
