Defenders of the Iraq war, let’s here from you: what’s your defense of the “Bush Doctrine” now?

Same as before. It’s better to fight in Iraq than over here.. Ironically, this argument is strangely akin in my mind to blaming Bush for increasing house prices. anyhow, let the mockery ensue :)

Sorry, no. Since the Iraq war has spread terrorism to places it was not before, we’re now fighting them in Iraq and in a lot of other places. Whereas before, there was no terrorist threat from Iraq. All there really was in Iraq was a jerkoff dictator who had long ago lost any power to hurt us.

Repeat after me: going into a place without terrorist, thereby creating terrorists, is NOT “fighting them over there.” It is creating them. We have made the world a more dangerous place by invading Iraq. Even our own intelligence agrees on that.

So.. now we quote “our intelligence”… which is funny.. because it was “our intelligence” that told us there were WMDs. Please.. name some of the places there -were not- terrorists before the Iraq war? All of the current people wreaking terror didn’t exist? Or they hated America less? I’m trying to understand how the world is a -more- dangerous place… Terrorist attacks did not start 9/11/01.. Terror attacks will continue to grow.. Can they reach the Americans easier in Iraq? yes. What’s your solution to fighting terror? The naivete to believe that the hatred for the USA would dissapate if we hadn’t gone into Iraq is really logically uncomprehendable. to quote myself- “It’s easy to pretend that the enemy doesn’t boil it down to religion. We keep pretending that it doesn’t, to keep our own baser instincts in check.”
