Obama is the Antichrist according to “international policy researcher” May 5, 2009

Via PZ, I see the latest in the long line of anti-Obama insanity* by the far right. Or maybe the author, Mel Sanger, isn’t crazy at all, just exceptionally sleazy. You see, he has what he repeatedly says is a hugely important report showing Obama is probably the Antichrist, a tool of the masons and the One World Government. Pretty standard stuff. But he isn’t content just to abuse HTML and post long, rambling evidences of severe mental problems like your average crazy right-winger with their own webpage: no, Sanger’s doing all that and charging you $25 for the experience.

I wonder why Sanger needs that money if the end times are upon us. It seems like he should be trying to get as many people this report as possible, no?

And when I read things like this from him, I really start to suspect he’s a conman and/or a satirist, but honestly, it isn’t easy to tell with these people:

Why is it That

On the day of Barack Obama’s Inauguration, the media made reference to the fact that Barack Obama’s Presidential Car has been nicknamed “The Beast ………..Is this a sign that the Masonic Conspirators behind the New World Order are purposely playing with those who have an understanding of end time prophecy?

So what do my reader’s think? Is Sanger just a mentally ill wingnut, a con artist or a clever satirist?

* To be clear, I’m not making accusations of mental illness lightly: a brief look over his webpage shows lots of the conspiracy-theory, reading every irrelevant detail as “proof” kind of wackiness that can mark serious mental illness. I’m no expert on the subject, but it sure doesn’t seem to me concluding Obama’s car is named “the Beast” as part of a conspiracy’s taunt to Christians is a sane behavior.

i have not read mr. sanger’s full story on this matter other than the advertisement, but is there any proof that sanger is mentally ill or wacky, other than you saying that that is what he is? is there any irrefutable proof that his report is not true?

I believe in a conspiracy theory because there is a lot of evidence of it if you pay attention. I am also reading HOPE of the WICKED which has much evidance that this is true. If you look at the destruction Obama is doing to this nation, you have to ask why? None of it makes sense unless you believe the down fall of this great nation is his goal. To not see and understand what is transpiring here is to put your head in the sand. But I will admit, I question the motives of his asking for 25.00 for the report, if he wants to wake people up why not charge 5.00 or 10.00 which would help cover his costs and time spend which I don’t begrudge him that, but 25.00 is to much in my opinion, if he is on the up and up. Although I do agree with much of what he says…. I also don’t like the sensational way he is presenting the material.

Message to Darrinsbabe and Js – Get a life! How can you believe this conman??? Read his website properly and I think he he should avoid any mental health facility as he is bound to be kept in for a lengthy stay!
Look into my eyes: There is no new world order, there is no antichrist, we are born, we live and then we die! That is all.

To DM…. U R A FOOL!!! Ok, so maybe sanger is a conman, idk. But to say “there is no new world order, there is no antichrist, WE ARE BORN, WE LIVE AND THEN WE DIE’. Oh Ye of little Faith! Please find JESUS before your final days are spent in the depths of the earth eternally burning in horror. You can still be SAVED.

i agree with dm on this.scare tactics and fearmongering are the last thing we need at this time.i doubt the existence of stuff like new world order or antichrist.i heard of a preacher praying for president obamas death couple of months ago and afew years earlier i watched some some televangelists praying for george w bush to bomb iraq to oblivion without a care of the innocent children and women there.so who is the anti christ? jesus preached love

This post really is worthless with respect to getting to the bottom of your premise– that Sanger is nuts (and I assume you also consider him wrong). Why wouldn’t you spring for the $25 report and actually read it! Then you could speak intelligently on what Sanger is proposing. As far as whether $25 is too much or not really isn’t your call. He may need the money to fund other efforts of a public service nature and not simply looking to amass the $ for his own personal wealth- we simply don’t know- but to randomly declare it’s too much is just not a defensible statement.
