“Obama Democrats Accent Bullying Over Governing“
- Now that Democrats have won, they’re bigger meanies than ever. LEAVE MICHELE BACHMANN ALONE! The real problem is that voters elected a liberal and now it turns out he’s a liberal, like FDR. Also, buy my book.
———-
Shlaes’ evidence consists of a personal shot at Jindal by an apparently minor blogger, obviously true claims about Bachmann, and people pointing out that Cantor is a lying ass. Also, see the masters at work.
Nevertheless, “Amity Shlaes” is probably the neatest name I’ve heard this week. :)
I really, really enjoy two parts of this article:
“The problem for Bachmann was also her implication that the New Dealers’ policies failed to bring recovery. Since this happens to be accurate, it’s a sensitive point, as I myself have noted watching the bile poured on my own 2007 book on the period.”
Shales: Bachmann was attacked for disputing what most history textbooks say, but I agree with her and, in fact, I have a book about it!
Also:
“The unsteadiness began with Obama: Instead of shaping the stimulus package himself, according to his own principles, he handed over the work to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the House Appropriations chairman, who in turn produced a porky package without discernible philosophy.”
Why do Republicans continue to insist that any sign of compromise or patience on Obama’s part is weakness? Guess what, guys! It’s the LEGISLATIVE branch’s job to craft laws! That’s what they are supposed to do!
It’s like they’ve never taken a Government class…
One more thing…
“The Democrats of 2009 are showing less awareness than their predecessors did in President Bill Clinton’s time on the importance of low taxes and reasonable regulation. Only these permit strong growth, a point made articulately by none other than Bachmann herself, in the now-infamous “Hoot-Smalley” TV clip. ”
Aren’t the tax rates under Clinton the tax rates Obama is advocating we return to?
